Aims and Objectives of the Nimbin Aquarius Foundation

The organisation and promotion of Aquarius Celebrations to help create a peaceful and sustainable life-style in the spirit of the Aquarius vision.

  1. The continuous restoration of the street murals in Nimbin, which are vital to tourism and have now attained Heritage status.
  2. An exchange programme with the town of Woodstock, USA, our official Sister Village, including cultural exhibitions such as “Some Children of Dream”.
  3. The establishment of a Public Works Space in Nimbin as a centre for Arts Projects, which will also house a Library of Aquarius Archives.
  4. The encouragement and promotion of Cultural Exchange Programmes with the local Bundjalung Aboriginal Community.
  5. The collection and display of Archival Material such as posters, documents, flags, film & video, stories and posters, and to display them on the World Wide Web.
